lack of updates.

Hey guys, I’m sorry for not really updating that much. I just want to say hello to new followers and thank you to the ones who stuck around.

Let me tell you a bit about myself. I started this blog as a part of an independent study my senior year of high school for senior project. The essential question that drove my nine months of research is, “What is the most important aspect of a visual window display?" Now, in order to answer this question, I had to go through many hours of research and components, including interviews with professionals in my industry, internships, teaching a 5 minute and 20 minute lesson, writing an in-depth 10 page research paper on my top three answers to this question (a centralized theme, appropriate props and signage, and knowledge of fashion trends), a science experiment, and a logic chart. This all culminated with a final TWO HOUR presentation. Needless to say, I did well on my projects and earned a great grade.

Moving on to today. I’m still just as busy as I was in high school. The reason why I was more consistent with this blog was because it was an assignment. Now, since I’m no longer required to maintain it, my assignments in school are a priority, as well as my job. I do try to update whenever I have time, so please bear with me. I haven’t left.

Right now, I’m studying at Cal Poly Pomona for Apparel Merchandising and Management, one of the best programs out there for fashion merchandising. I plan on working in the field for a while and then go back to earn my Master’s in International Apparel Management. I have big dreams and a bright future, and I’m so blessed to have figured out what I’m going to do with my life.

Hello, my name is Brittney.
This is a blog about visual merchandising for my high school senior project's independent study.
It will contain window displays and their analysis, any personal drawings/inspiration, and fashion trends. It's all the components of visual merchandising.
The question that I am striving to answer is: What is the most important aspect of a visual window display?
I like juxtapositions and serendipity, with the occasional hug from my boyfriend (not really the last part HAR HAR HAR).
I adore fashion, Ed Westwick, and pretty things. That is all.
